We have a full-time opening for a Instrumentation & Controls CAD Designer.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

The Instrumentation & Controls CAD Designer creates and establishes designs consistent with good practices, and conformance to current Codes & Standards. The I&C Designer applies standard drafting techniques to generate and interpret drawings in support of assigned projects, ensuring that all established company design standards and practices are followed.

Essential Functions:
• Generates design and detail drawings utilizing current AutoCAD software to support Lead Engineers.
• Manages and maintains Project Documentation (e.g., flat files, reference/stick files, CAD drawings).
• Interacts with other engineering disciplines and works collaboratively with others in a team environment to accomplish objectives.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical instrumentation design.
• Can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Requires experience with the following:
o Understanding of P&ID drawings
o Ability to develop instrument index drawings.
o Ability to develop power distribution diagrams, loop diagrams and control system schematics, instrumentation/control system wiring, and installation details for process plant applications.
o Ability to read ISA or vendor produced specification sheets.
o Basic mechanical and piping knowledge.
• Proficient with ACAD, MS Word, MS Excel.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD P&ID software is a plus.
• Familiarity with the use and care of personal safety equipment.
