We have a full-time opening for a HVAC Controls Technician.

Must be able to work various shifts per week.

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States.

Wage: DOE

Requirements

Responsibilities:
• Programming, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installation of HVAC controls and equipment. This includes experience and knowledge of: Building Management systems (Barber Coleman Network 8000, Siemens), Variable Frequency Drives (Allen Bradley, ABB), Variable Air Volume (VAV) Controls
• Strong safety record and work habits.
• The ability to get along and work well with others in a team environment.
• Will be expected to keep up to date with the latest HVAC technology and trade methods while demonstrating quality workmanship.
• Will be required to work overtime and selected holidays as part of a regular PM program.
• Must have good work habits, self motivated, stays on the job, and makes efficient use of time.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
• Able to read and interpret logic diagrams
• Experienced in installation, troubleshooting and repair of single and 3-phase motors
• Understanding and experience in application of the NFPA 70 code.
• Able to interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Universal EPA license to handle refrigerants

Considered a plus:
• Excellent mechanical aptitude -- efficient problem solving skills
• Solid computer skills
• Centrifugal Chiller Experience
• Familiar with BACnet, LON, and Modbus protocols

Working Conditions:
• Will be required to work overtime and selected holidays, some weekends and overtime as part of a regular preventive maintenance program. Must be willing to periodically be on a rotations on-call program for emergencies outside of 1st shift hours and carry a pager. Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Able to maintain a physically strenuous routine (climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting heavy objects), must be able to lift 80lbs.
