We have a full-time opening for a Chemical Operator.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Wage: 15.40-17.90
Requirements
Hydro Operator responsibilities include hydrogenation process operation. The work involves liquid and gas material transfer, pressure and temperature control, sampling and process documentation. Other tasks include filter press operation and general labor.
Procedure
1. Understand hydrogenation chemical and physical functions, as well as supply and transfer utilities operation.
2. Perform equipment start up, operation, and shut down.
3. Operate controllers, converters, vacuum, heat exchangers, pumps and related apparatus. Transfer and process materials according to written and verbal instruction.
4. Know hydrogenation control instrumentation and process loops. Record process data for verification and traceability. Monitor equipment including storage temperatures. Address and report leakage and spills.
5. Interpret hydrogen flow, reaction pressure and temperature. Adjust controls to maintain operating parameters.
6. See to filter process; transfer catalyst, media and product.
7. Report irregularities to supervisor; including faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions.
8. Turn in labeled samples to laboratory at established intervals to verify raw materials and product.
9. Maintain work records; recommend improvements and assist with procedure and instruction updates.
10. Keep hydrogenation facility and equipment in an orderly condition. Maintain access to safety equipment.
11. Participate in equipment and physical plant cleaning and upkeep according to written methods and schedule.
12. Understand hazards; follow safety and personal protective equipment standards, attend safety seminars.
13. Report accident or injury immediately. Intervene in unsafe situations; report unsafe conditions or equipment.
14. Communicate during emergency -- distinguish alarms and audible signals, execute emergency shut down.
15. Rotate shift or remain on-call under urgent circumstances. Climb, kneel, lift and tolerate inclement weather.
16. High School Diploma with HAN orientation and hydrogenation instruction.
