POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the food and beverage team in making sure that every single guest enjoys the experience by maintaining clean and sanitary conditions of all cooking utensils, flatware, china, and stemware. In addition, you maintain a clean and safe environment in all back-of-house areas. • Clean and sanitize all cooking utensils, flatware, china, stemware and workstation throughout the shift.

Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis and expect frequent interruptions.  Ability to work and cooperate well with other employees.

Perform other appropriate relates and unrelated assigned duties.

Essential Duties

  • Breaks down soiled dishes promptly after returning to the kitchen from dining rooms.
  • Monitor dish machine temperatures during operation & record temperatures in a log at least three times a day.
  • Washes & sanitizes soiled dishes & silverware; stores clean dishes & silverware in assigned areas.
  • Washes & sanitizes soiled pots & pans; stores clean pots & pans in assigned areas.
  • Cleans & sanitizes the dishroom, kitchen floor & all equipment; de-limes the dish machine; leaves the dishroom orderly prior to shift completion.
  • Keeps waste to a minimum.
  • Removes trash, garbage & waste as required and/or assigned after each meal period.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma preferred.   On the job training and in-services.   Previous experience in service, restaurant and/or healthcare industry preferred.

PHSICAL DEMANDS:

  • To be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • To be able to reach, bend, kneel and squat
  • To be able to walk and stand on a repetitive and constant basis.
  • To be able to use step stools.
  • To be able to hear call system, pager signals and spoken English language.
  • To be able to wear protective gloves supplied by the facility.
  • To be able to be in contact with domestic pets.
