Apex Placement and Consulting is partnering with one of their premier clients in Ossining, NY, in search of a Charge Nurse who values each patient's dignity and provides care irrespective of social or health circumstances.What's in it for you:

What you'll be doing:

• Utilize the nursing process to supervise the direct delivery of care to patients during assigned shifts.
• Assign staff to specific units or tasks.
• Facilitate physician visits by directly interacting with them.
• Supervise shift staff to ensure tasks are completed and responsibilities are met.
• Collaborate with staff nurses to identify changes in conditions, new illnesses, injuries, and report them.
• Monitor and report on staff conduct to ensure safe, respectful, and effective care.
• Monitor and report on patient conduct for the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
• Provide staffing level reports to Nursing Supervisor to ensure safe levels.
• Act as a unit nurse as needed.

What we are looking for:

• RN with a current, unrestricted New York State License.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a hands-on clinical supervisory role (e.g., Charge RN, Lead RN) in acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long-term care settings.
• Proficiency in initiating and maintaining IV therapy preferred; willingness to undergo IV therapy training required.
• Working knowledge of infection control practices, including Flu and COVID protocols, and other infectious disease response planning.
• Computer literate with experience in EHR/Microsoft Office.
• Preferred experience in palliative care and/or hospice care.
