Premier Placements is currently interviewing for an Environmental Health & Safety Manager direct hire opportunity with an award-winning manufacturing facility at their newest location in Athens, GA The EHS Manager will be responsible for implementing policies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Collect, monitor, analyze and report to fulfill both the facility and regulatory bodies requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: $85,000 - $90,000/year

Responsibilities:
- Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
- Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the facility.
- Incident and injury case management.
- Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
- Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
- Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
- Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
- Maintains records of discharge of, or employee exposure to hazardous waste and /or pollutants, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Occupational Safety and Health or related field required.
- 5+ years of related experience in a mid to large size manufacturing facility.
- Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
- Experience managing a Title V permitted facility.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in Environmental inspections.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
