Set Up Technician - PTI

SUMMARY

With the direction of the Set-up Lead or Supervisor responsible for performing diversified duties related to exchanging molds in injection molding machines in a proper, timely and safe manner.

Job Description

• Responsible for setting up and tearing down jobs.
• Turns jobs over to the operator only after producing a good part.
• Works with operators in doing setups and instructs in product evaluation.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all requirements found in job books.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to read & write, basic math skills, ability to understand and follow written procedures.
• Must have mechanical abilities.
• Must be able to pass written Industrial Fork Truck Driver Test.
• Must pass Industrial Fork Truck Driver Road Test.
• Must pass Authorized Lock-out / Tag-out Training.
• Able to work different hours and shifts as needed.

Job Physical Requirements

Sitting: Remaining in the seated position

Standing: Must be able to stand

Climbing: Must be able to climb stairs, ladder, or up onto a hi-lo, or a press.

Bending or stooping: Must be able to bend, crouch, or stoop to move boxes or inventory.

Lifting: Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.

Hand and Finger: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling keyboard, or picking up a piece of paper.

Additional physical requirements: Manual dexterity sufficient to lift and carry boxes and to grasp the handle to use a hydraulic pallet jack and two-wheeled dolly.

Visual acuity sufficient to use a computer, to count and verify lot numbers and quantities of parts for shipping.

Work Environment: Inside office and warehouse both with and without temperature controls and wood coated and concrete floors.
