Quality Control and Testing Assistant

The quality control assistant will assist the quality department in all phases related to the production of HDPE small and large diameter pipes. This will include everything from inspection, and qualification of inbound raw materials, to final dimensional inspections of pipe prior to delivery. This position will require attention to detail and accuracy, reliability, ambition and initiative, and good communication.

Job Duties:

Perform and evaluate various material tests in a controlled lab environment.
Thorough documentation and organized record keeping of test results and methods.
Enter test results into the appropriate database accurately.
Assist in creating, documenting, and/or updating test procedures.
Inspect pipes for flaws or defects at various stages of production.
Examine finished pipes to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Using tools such as tape measures, rules, calipers, and micrometers to evaluate accuracy of pipe.
Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Competency in basic mathematical calculations
Basic computer skills
A fine attention to detail
Physical endurance and the ability to lean over and/or crawl through pipe.
An ability to work well as part of a team or when working alone.

Preferred:

Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience in working in a laboratory environment.
Familiarity with pipe extrusion production
Work history in a manufacturing environment
Documented forklift operation
