I wanted to give some clarification on a few things here after reviewing resumes .

- Candidate should have some kind of experience working within an AGRICULTURE environment. Due to the number of vendors Corteva works with, it's hard for us to get a resume looked at unless they have this experience as the project scope is based around create new data types for new crops. (This goes for about any Corteva role that gets kicked out)

- The position can sit remote IF they do not live within 50 miles of Indianapolis, IN or Johnston, IA. IF they lived within that territory they would be asked to be onsite T/W/TH every week. (Again, this is the same for every Corteva role that we've worked)

- Please ensure if they have experience with BERT that they are able to explain it in their professional history and not just a bullet in their technical skillset.

Project Scope and Brief Description:

(i.e. Connex, Encirca)

Next-generation Artificial Intelligence for Genomics will use more complex datatypes and be applied to new crop contexts. We need a Data Scientist with demonstrated expertise in training and evaluating transformers such as BERT and its derivatives.

Responsibilities:

Improve the genomics LLMs for gene expression profiling by incorporating new sequencing data types, adopting new foundation models, and applying new finetuning techniques in LLMs. Develop the Generative AI tool for automated genome editing design based on the improved LLM.

Skills / Experience:

Required: Proficiency with Python, pyTorch, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Jupyter. Expertise in Deep Learning, Transformers, Natural Language Processing, Large Language Models

Preferred: Experience with genomics data, molecular genetics. Distributed computing tools like Ray, Dask, Spark.
