Gift Shop Associate

Job Summary:
Hueston Woods Lodge & Conference Center is seeking a friendly and personable individual to join our team as a part-time Gift Shop Associate. The Gift Shop Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting guests with their retail purchases. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the inventory and appearance of the gift shop. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and making recommendations to guests
- Process retail transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gift shop
- Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management
- Create attractive displays to showcase merchandise and increase sales
- Ensure the adherence to all safety and security procedures in the gift shop
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a positive and efficient work environment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling
- Knowledge of retail and merchandising best practices
- Must be a team player and have a positive attitude
