Description
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Purpose:
Enter customer purchases orders, plan, and monitor production to ensure that the needs and expectations of internal and external customers are achieved. Purchase assigned products to ensure uninterrupted supply while balancing optimum cost and inventory turns.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Demonstrate commitment to safety program.
Pull EDI, email and/or internet orders on a daily basis
Create/update production jobs, visual scheduling and review level loading of manufacturing work centers
Analyze and plan production flow to best optimize work centers, hours of operation, and incoming material requirements
Work with the Customer, Sales, and Production to handle scheduling conflicts
Responsible to keep WIP and finished goods inventory at company specific levels to improve shop efficiency and inventory turns
Create Purchase Orders for raw materials and subcontract services as needed to support facility operations
Track due dates to ensure timely delivery
Make updates to Purchase Orders as necessary

Maintain proactive relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal price and delivery
Process tooling orders and jobs
Perform job closing function, reviewing cost, price, and inventory transactions, reconciling job discrepancies
Assist in coordinating new product implementation
Assist in coordinating old product out
Promote a positive atmosphere. Actively support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
2-4 years of secondary education preferred
APICS certification preferred
Experience:
Overall knowledge and operation of MRP/ERP experience preferred
1 to 3 years experience in applicable field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks
Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills necessary to converse with a diverse group of stakeholders including senior management, operations, and supply chain management personnel
An understanding of forecasting, demand planning, scheduling, and inventory management tools
An understanding of how to analyze the total cost of manufacturing, warehousing, and delivering products to customers and ability to use that knowledge to make good sourcing decisions based on analysis
Ability to make decisions and perform well under pressure and maintain composure in stressful situations
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
