JOB SUMMARY The Wellness Program Specialist will provide direct services and program coordination activities for health and wellness and family programs that align with the ECS Bridge to Prosperity®. The Wellness Program Specialist will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with engaged strategic partners in support of ECS’ program plans and intended outcomes. The Wellness Program Specialist will provide direct coaching services to participants and community members as they advance their related family and health and wellness goals. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate and facilitate group workshops to help participants across all ECS programs enhance their health literacy regarding parenting, diabetes, and nutrition. Develop curricula and identify training materials for health & wellness programming. Provide ECS participants and community members coaching services to develop their health and family goals and action plans. Enter data promptly and accurately to enable continuous data collection, tracking, and compliance monitoring for department goals and initiatives. Accept participant referrals for various wellness initiatives (Parenting, Nutrition ed, DPP, etc.) and provide one-on-one support. Maintain relationships with program partners in the Greater Philadelphia region to provide health education and support for ECS participants and community members. Regularly monitor data and alignment of results to expected outcomes to inform program modifications. Maintain internal intranet with current programs and activities for the department to keep peer staff informed of relevant programming that may align with stakeholder and participant goals. Perform community outreach and engagement activities to recruit coaching and program participants. Education, and Experience A High School Equivalency or diploma is required for this position; a Bachelor's Degree in the related field is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in health promotion, social or human services, or a related work area. Minimum of one (1) year of experience with coaching or providing health & wellness services. Skills and Abilities Experience in and knowledge of the local healthcare landscape and health equity is preferred. Knowledge or awareness of local and national organizations that support or promote healthy lifestyles and address health equity and the social determinants of health is preferred. Strong presentation skills and proven ability to facilitate workshops and trainings. Proficiency with Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) systems is preferred but not required. Exposure to program logic models, program evaluation, and quality improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Ability to communicate and work effectively in a variety of settings with diverse staff, Participants, visitors, and communities. Knowledge of the effects of intergenerational poverty on individuals and families in Philadelphia. Excellent self-direction, follow-through, and ability to take ownership of given responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to prioritize projects and tasks and to respond to simultaneous requests from several directions. Ability to function as a part of a multi-disciplinary team. Advanced computer skills, especially in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), MS Teams, and Zoom platforms. Ability to represent ECS effectively in various settings and with diverse communities. Monday - Friday with limited evenings and weekends for special programming and events; this hybrid position allows remote work with some structured office hours required. This role requires travel to meetings and events outside of their designated office. ECS provides a motivating work environment and encourages individual professional development.
