Research and Development Lab Specialist

Job Title: Research and Development Lab Specialist Location: Fremont, CA Type of Role: Contract POSITION OVERVIEW: Our team is looking for Research and Development Lab Personnel for a client in the oil and gas industry. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Maintain a safe R&D lab environment by taking on active safety roles in the R&D lab. Follow the guidelines and best practices related to lab notebooks, data storage and backup. Conduct and document inventories of chemicals and consumables in the lab. Safe handling of hazardous chemicals and canisters Organize the lab storage. Conduct well-documented reactions, purifications, chemical fillings following established instructions. QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS): Required Knowledge & Experience: College student majoring in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Excellent communication and computer skills A team player who puts safety first Competency: Familiarity with water and moisture-sensitive chemicals. Experience with operations inside glove boxes. Highest Level of Education Required for this Position: B.S. in chemistry or related fields.
