Senior-Level Software and Reporting Developer iSphere, an IT recruiting firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Senior-Level Software and Reporting Developer to join our team for an on-going, long-term opportunity in the Houston area. This position offers an opportunity to work with enterprise-level software applications, databases, and reporting. Qualifications: - BS in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent professional experience - 5+ years of software and reporting development experience - Senior-level working knowledge of MS SQL/Transact-SQL is required - Advanced experience with ASP.net, C#, VB.net, SSRS, and Visual Studio desired - Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation and end user manuals - Experience with various change and control management software - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and results-oriented mindset - Experience with student information systems is a plus Responsibilities: - Proficient in MS SQL server databases and able to create tables, views, procedures, functions, SSIS packages, and jobs - Develop complex reports with multiple data connections to various data source types - Work with district departments and campuses to gather student application specifications and develop solutions - Function as project lead, collecting requirements, establishing timelines, and coordinating tasks and team members - Cross-train within the SIS group to ensure appropriate backups are in place - Create, maintain, and update technical manuals and documentation - Serve as a database administrator, ensuring integrity control and data security - Identify and recommend solutions for application-related problems - Respond to user requests for assistance and provide training on system usage - Communicate with vendors to resolve system issues - Other duties as assigned Working Conditions: - Ability to communicate effectively and maintain emotional control under stress - Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and data - May require frequent prolonged and irregular hours - Repetitive hand motions and prolonged computer use - Moderate standing, walking, and bending To apply for this position, please visit our website or contact us directly. iSphere is an IT recruiting firm in Houston, TX, specializing in connecting top talent with leading companies.
