Position Summary

The Senior Accountant, Stock Plan Administration and Transactions will be responsible for managing the accounting of stock compensation expense pursuant to ASC 718. This will include preparing equity roll-forward tables, ASC Topic 260 Earnings Per Share, and other reporting schedules. The role will assist in preparing journal entries related to investment accounting, warrants, derivatives, and other major accounts and transactions. The Senior Accountant will be in charge of maintaining the Cap Table, beneficiary ownership table, CD&As for annual proxy statements, and monthly and quarterly reconciliation of share balances and reserves between the stock plan database system. This role will support quarterly and yearly reporting needed for 10Q, 10K, and Proxy filings, provide support for SOX compliance and perform quarterly and annual testing on critical controls in place. The role partners closely with tax, legal, FP&A, as well as a broad group of cross-functional business teams to provide analysis and information needed for efficient accounting and reporting processes.

Essential Functions

  • Assist in managing the stock compensation plan and transactions.
  • Responsible for the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for stock-based compensations, investment, warrant liability, and other complex or non-routine transactions.
  • Support the annual audit and quarterly review activities with external auditors.
  • Support for the Company's SEC financial reporting on Form 10-Q, 10-K, and Proxy, including the creation of auditable support, and leads the analysis of the content.
  • Support SOX compliance testing and document the company's internal control policies and procedures and maintain the control environment
  • Management analysis and reports on an as-needed basis
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business-related fields. CPA is desired.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in top-tier public accounting firms
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with financial reporting, SEC Reporting, and US GAAP
  • Experience with Workiva or Active Disclosure, Solium Shareworks, and/or detailed XBRL tagging preferred
  • Experience biotech or healthcare industry preferred but not required

Working Environment / Physical Environment

  • This position works a hybrid schedule (combination of onsite and remote).

This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus and equity award. The annual base pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.

$100,000 (entry-level qualifications) to $125,000 (highly experienced)
