Fergus Falls, MNHybrid Full-time $150,000.00 - $200,000.00Posted 04/23/2024Position Overview: The Audit Principal is responsible for leading and managing audit processes for NFP organizations, Government entities, and other clients. The Audit Principal will be the primary point of contact for all audits and will provide guidance and direction to staff members as necessary.Key Responsibilities:Serve as key point of contact for all regional engagements reporting directly to the managing partnerPlan, organize, direct, and review professional-level audit activities.Coordinate and supervise audit staff, as well as manage resources and delegation.Conduct pre-engagement audit planning activities, including risk assessment, audit strategy negotiations, and budgeting of resources.Perform audits and provide oversight of external auditors.Provide technical guidance and assistance to staff on complex technical accounting and auditing matters.Deliver superior customer service, maintain and develop relationships with clients, and create opportunities for further business.Ensure all audit activities are in compliance with professional standards and applicable laws.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.Minimum of 8 years of experience in public accounting, preferably in the NFP and Government sectors.Previous established experience as an Senior Audit Manager headingKnowledge of auditing and accounting standards, as well as US GAAP.Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Ability to exercise independent judgment and work both independently and as part of a team.BenefitsPartial Year Fully Remote OptionsFirm will pay for your Airbnb during regional busy-season client visits!3 weeks of accrued PTO (allowances for 1st year vacations will be considered and likely accomodated)+11 paid holidaysStrong Base Salary depending on experience + generous bonusFull Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision (~75% covered by employer)401(k) + up to 4% matching with American Funds after 90 days of completed serviceHSA + FSA options ($1500 for individuals / $3000 for families)Life InsuranceS & L term DisabilityHuge Room For Growth at a friendly firm that loves it's employeesColorado employees will receive paid sick leave.
