Medical Billing Specialist

currently hiring for a Medical Billing Specialist for a healthcare client in Long Branch, NJ.

• No weekends-Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM

Description:

• Processes tasks and or messages in electronic medical records system.

• Searches patient information via electronic medical records system and verifies demographic information for accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

• Assist patient and insurance carrier calls appropriately regarding patient balances and open insurance claims.

• Resolves problems either independently or by knowing when appropriate to seek out another resource.

• Collects co-pays/payments on patient accounts, balances daily batches, summarizes batches and prepares deposits and postings.

**Candidates certified in coding are highly preferred**
