Role Summary

The HR Advisor with work closely with the HR Business Partner community and EQ managers in relation to all people related matters, guiding on policy, process and creating a great working environment for all colleagues.

This position is based from Worthing or Crawley offices, with some travel to other EQ offices when required.

Core Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the key people initiatives including employee relations, colleague performance & absence management, providing advice, guidance and support to EQ Managers on EQ people policies and procedures.
  • Working closely with the HR SMEs on Talent Acquisition, annual Reward activities, colleague engagement and learning & development initiatives.
  • Champion the use of the People Services team, ensuring managers & employees use all HR services to help them manage their teams effectively.
  • Help drive local people engagement via the Peakon engagement survey; own key actions and work with leadership team to deliver, communicate and feedback to employees.
  • Work with managers to identify key people measures for day to day operations, review monthly analytics to identify areas of opportunity, risk or performance improvement actions.
  • Support the HR team in projects, policy writing and working with the People Services teams on HR process and system improvements to improve how we deliver our HR services locally and globally.
  • Develop your HR expertise, skills and capability by observing, buddying up with HRBPs and on the job coaching whilst studying your CIPD through EQ's Apprenticeship scheme.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and behaviours:

  • Has some experience of working in a People / HR team.
  • Is passionate about good People management and helping others
  • Professional and a good communicator with others
  • Well organised, good at time management and can work well in a busy work environment.
  • Has some good experience on MS Office/PC skills and potentially experienced in using a HR system.
  • Ability to work openly and collaboratively at all levels.
  • Educated to GCSE / A level or equivalent
  • Aspiration to studying towards CIPD qualification.
