Job Summary

Responsible for working cross-functionally to collect data and develop models to determine trends utilizing a variety of data sources. Retrieves, analyzes and summarizes business, operations, employee, customer and/or economic data in order to develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, predict business outcomes and decision-making purposes. Involved with numerous key business decisions by conducting the analyses that inform our business strategy. This may include: impact measurement of new products or features via normalization techniques, optimization of business processes through robust A/B testing, clustering or segmentation of customers to identify opportunities of differentiated treatment, deep dive analyses to understand drivers of key business trends, identification of customer sentiment drivers through natural language processing (NLP) of verbatim responses to Net Promotor System (NPS) surveys and development of frameworks to drive upsell strategy for existing customers by balancing business priorities with customer activity. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

Our Enterprise Data team is looking for an Analyst with 5-7 years experience working with large data sets. You will interact with stakeholders and internal users to interpret incoming data.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the enterprise taxonomy and business metadata, including but not limited data dictionaries and business glossaries 
  • Ensure data element lineage and other business and technical metadata is well documented 
  • Perform analysis on business provided documents and processes to identify gaps/issues and provide recommendations/requirements on adjustments 
  • Identify and support execution of process improvement opportunities 
  • Creates and maintains appropriate documentation and operating procedures for all process work 
  • At the direction of team leadership, understand the upstream and downstream data impacts and develops, implements, and manages control structures and business rules used to govern data transformations 
  • Work closely with business data stewards to assess/communicate data changes and the resulting technology impacts 
  • Support team in overseeing the actions of Data Stewards within the various business units and business functions 
  • Support efforts to monitor compliance with established standards and metrics 
  • Assist in data impact analysis and data quality initiatives 
  • Partner with the Business and Internal Stakeholders to support implementation of Data Producer-Consumer Agreements (DPCA) 
  • Assist with end user data questions 
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. 

Qualifications

  • Experience with data governance tools such as Azure Purview 
  • Knowledge of data structures, systems and BI tools related to data management 
  • Strong understanding and communicating with both technical and business teams 
  • Experience working with JIRA, Query Fabric (e.g., Presto/Trino), SQL-based tools (e.g., dBeaver, SQL Assistant, Toad) 
  • Strong analytic skills 
  • Strong SQL skills and strong experience using platforms (Teradata, Hadoop, AWS) 
  • Experience on ETL and Data Warehousing concepts 
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • Knowledge of dx Data Foundry platforms and data is a plus 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Ability to gather process information and make recommendations and decisions based on data and findings 
  • Ability to anticipate situations, tools needed, and potential obstacles through critical thinking and review of business performance 
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various functional areas, including field, Region, Division and Corporate personnel
