Now Hiring School OT (Occupational Therapist)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team full-time in Lovington, NM. As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in supporting students' participation in educational activities by addressing their sensory, motor, and developmental needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with students ranging from Pre-K to 12th grade in a collaborative and supportive school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct prehensive assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy needs, in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support students' academic success and participation in school activities.
• Provide supervision and guidance to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of New Mexico.
• Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to provide supervision to COTAs as needed.
