Job Title: Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT)

Are you a passionate and dedicated educator with expertise in teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing? Soliant is currently seekingqualified Teachers for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in Ravenswood, WVfor the 2024-25 school year. This position is full-time, onsite, and itprimarily involves working with elementary schoolers.We offer weekly pay, great benefits, and guaranteed hours with our full-time positions!

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, addressing their unique munication and learning needs.
• Provide direct instruction in language development, literacy, and academic subjects using a variety of specialized instructional strategies and techniques.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other support staff to ensure the successful inclusion and participation of students in general education settings.
• Conduct assessments of students' language and munication skills, monitor progress, and adjust instructional plans accordingly.
• Provide support and guidance to students, families, and school staff on strategies for promoting munication and academic success.
• Participate in advocacy sessions for students with hearing impairments.

What We're Looking For:

• Master's degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Studentsor related field.
• Valid West Virginia teaching license with endorsement in Education for Teaching Deaf Students.
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred.
• Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting preferred
