Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter/ASL
Location: Lanark, IL
Job Type: Full-time; 35 Hours/Week
Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate interpretation services between students who use ASL and those who communicate verbally, ensuring clear and effective communication.
• Interpret spoken language into ASL and vice versa, conveying messages accurately while maintaining the tone, context, and intent of the original communication.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Interpretation, Deaf Studies, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter (e.g., RID certification) required.
• Fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and proficiency in spoken English.
• Required to have ISBE approval.
