Job title: Day Bartender

Reports to: Director of F & B

Pay rate: $16.28+ tips

Position type: Variable hours – health benefits after 1 year and 1456 hours worked.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 21 years old.
  • Minimum 2 years of bartending experience in a high-volume establishment.
  • Knowledge of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and beers.
  • Enthusiastic about serving the public with a consistent positive attitude.
  • Good grooming and personal hygiene.
  • Ability to take direction/constructive input and contribute to a team atmosphere.
  • Ability to provide quick service, maintain composure under stress, and multi-task.
  • Good listening, verbal communication skills and teamwork.
  • Self-motivated: can find work to do without constant supervision.
  • Willing to work outside in sometime heat or adverse conditions.
  • A current Food Handler's permit is required within 14 days of hire.
  • A current WSLCB Class 12 Mixologist or Class 13 Server Permit within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to become proficient at tray service.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for periods of 8 to 12 hours per shift.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and transport various objects weighing up to 30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift.
  • Must be able to go up and down a full flight of stairs with loaded trays repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
  • Must be able to maneuver in tight spaces with multiple team members.

THE BRASS TACKS

  • Prepares and serves drinks to guests in accordance with established standards. Ensures standard measures are utilized

when mixing and pouring drinks.

  • Assist the bar manager with liquor/beer/mix/supplies/ inventory.
  • Contribute in creating, training, executing, and maintaining a seasonal cocktail/beer/wine menu.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining and reasonable prep list for Campbell’s craft beverage program.
  • Responsible for ensuring freshness, and rotation of all bar perishables.
  • Manage and control all bar storage areas.
  • Assist bar manager in monthly inventory, conduct spot check inventory as directed by F&B director.
  • Assist in food/beverage sales training/on-boarding training of new hires
  • Work /Bar/Server shifts as needed
  • Assist with on-boarding and training of all staff serving beverages
  • As required, attend F&B Management Team meetings to ensure supportive cooperation between all departments
  • Additional responsibilities as required by the F&B Director, Chief Strategic Officer, and GM/President of Campbell’s Resort.
  • Maintains current knowledge of drink recipes, service techniques and bar terminology.
  • Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures. • Keeps accurate logs of inventory and consumption.
  • Maintains par levels of all necessary food related service items.
  • Sets up, re-stocks, maintains, cleans and breaks down bar areas.
  • Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of beverages.
  • Provides timely and courteous follow-through on all client, guest, and team member requests.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.
  • Adheres to and maintains standards for guest interactions, personal grooming, sanitation, and safe food handling.
  • Follows all safety procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions immediately. Ensures all equipment is used only as intended.
  • Complies with applicable laws and regulations regarding the serving and consumption of alcohol.
  • Conducts training on job standards and areas of responsibility as needed.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a variable-hour position, expected work hours are based on seasonal volume, business demand, and hours of operation. Weekends and holidays are also necessary. Must be flexible and willing to adapt schedule to meet business demands.
