Shearon Environmental Design is a company known for outstanding quality and ability to take on the largest landscape construction projects in the region. Shearon Environmental Design offers a wide range of services from landscaping, hardscaping, irrigation, site drainage, earthwork, sports field construction, green roofs, green walls, interior scaping, fencing, and more. Our Downingtown Office is looking for a full-time experienced Landscape Construction Project Manager/Estimator. This position reports directly into the Vice President of Construction.
JOB SUMMARY:
· Build relationships with both existing & new customers.
· Estimate & create proposals for incoming opportunities. Following the sales process from start to finish.
· Managing awarded projects.
· Coordinating both short-term & long-term scheduling alongside existing management staff.
· It would be expected of you to become fully knowledgeable with the
company’s bidding format & philosophy along with its project tracking
procedures while working closely with office support staff.
· Once a project reaches contract stage, you would be responsible to buyout all materials, negotiating with suppliers, & managing the project alongside one of our field superintendents.
· Assist in personnel management, employee safety, & training.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & CAPABILITIES:
· Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
· Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape projects.
· Knowledge of the construction industry
· Excellent problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and in a fast-moving environment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
· Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
· Ability to maintain company and client confidential information.
· Standard horticultural knowledge.
· Working knowledge of drainage methods
· Working knowledge of irrigation systems, including wells, pumps, and automatic controls.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
· Working knowledge of Adobe AcrobatPro
· Excellent driving record
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Landscape Contracting Degree or Similar Qualification.
· Minimum of five years of experience in the landscape/construction industry.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must be willing and able to work in all outdoor weather conditions all year round
· Must be willing and able to work 45 hours or more per week when requested
· Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays when requested
· OSHA-10 Certification strongly valued
