What you will do:

       

Daily inventory audit functions including daily cycle counting and location auditing.  Reports the supply of manufactured and purchased parts are available to the production departments when and where they are needed and maintains the MRB areas to assure that obsolete, excess or damaged materials are dispositioned in the correct manner in accordance with established procedures. 

How you will do it:

  • Performs daily cycle counting and reporting in both primary and secondary locations.

  • Performs established procedures to identify, research, and correct inventory balance errors.

  • Performs daily location audits Develops location for all new product including first cycle count and development of weight and cube information.

  • Assists with receiving discrepancies and non-conforming product. 

  • Performs analysis of product supply and demand data to determine product placement for optimizing stockroom efficiency and improving productivity. Scraps obsolete product as approved.

  • Search for lost product (backordered picklists, cycle counts, etc.) and assists in problem resolution.  

  • Verifies location accuracy (i.e. primary locations, secondary locations, available primaries, and available secondaries)

  • Product Holds:  Ensures suspect product is identified and quarantined until a determination is made of whether or not it is to be returned to stock. in the plant or returned to supplier.

  • Maintains specific data for all jobs on the schedule and communicates all discrepancies to the appropriate departments.

  • Attends a daily production meeting reviewing the status of each job for shortages and delayed materials which could affect the production schedule. Maintains an effective Inventory Control system to assure accurate inventory records are maintained and that all materials are accounted for in a proper manner.

  • Reviews variances on W/O closure reports.

  • Insures Item Master and Item Balance record accuracy for manufactured items.

  • Coordinates with appropriate personnel in Engineering, Materials, Stockroom, Production and Manufacturing engineering (frame nesting) to assure schedules are maintained, (maintain documentation to assist with materials Requisitioning Program).

What we look for:

Required

  • University degree and 1 year suggested minimum experience, or 2 year degree and 6 years suggested minimum experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to organize work and meet deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Data entry experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), and Mapics

  • Strong mechanical and analytical ability is needed as well as good communication skills.

  • Ability to work with accuracy

Preferred:

  • APICS certification
