Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join their team. In this crucial role, you'll lead the charge in safeguarding our electrical infrastructure, from voltage systems and arc flash analysis to lifecycle management and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee low, medium, and high voltage systems, ensuring their safe and reliable operation.
  • Lead arc flash analysis, update electrical drawings, and develop safety procedures to prevent incidents.
  • Manage capital project plans, ensuring electrical infrastructure improvements stay on track.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability through predictive maintenance and problem-solving.
  • Work closely with Maintenance and Project Engineering to ensure seamless equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards (NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, etc.) and lifecycle asset management practices.
  • Develop specifications for equipment purchase, participate in equipment selection, and conduct acceptance testing.
  • Identify and resolve electrical issues impacting plant operations, and optimizing performance.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (required).
  • 10+ years of experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the chemical or oil refining industry (a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B (required).
  • Familiarity with NETA and IEEE standards (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • TWIC card (mandatory).
  • Ability to travel occasionally (less than 10%).
