Job Description
Santa Monica Proper is looking for an experienced Banquet Chef. A seamless merger of historic retrofit and new construction, the 271-room Santa Monica Proper Hotel features interior design by international style icon Kelly Wearstler, multiple dining options by local area culinary stars, a rooftop lounge and swimming pool and 24,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Job Overview
- Coordination of all banquet events.
- Planning of all food requisition in a timely manner are required
- Control the effort of superior cleanliness thru out all culinary departments
- Implement, control and maintain all processes to the health, safety and securing of our guests and colleagues
- Guiding the team to achieve 100% guest and client satisfaction
- Controlling & being accountable to the effort in achieve both food & labor cost goals
- Scheduling colleagues and adhering to all wage and hour guidelines
- Use the Proper Way to communicate our policies to our colleagues
- Report and investigate all injuries
- Develop and maintain SOPs and recipes
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience leading a banquet kitchen in a luxury hotel or event venue
