Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Server/Bartender)

  • Provides memorable food and beverage service to club members and guests.
  • Vibrantly greets and acknowledges every member and guest in a friendly and timely manner that is warm and welcoming.
  • Promotes menu items by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions to provide unique characteristics such as taste, origin, and preparation methods.
  • Provides recommendations on drink pairings and offers suggestions based on guest preferences.
  • Accurately takes and processes orders from members using a POS system.
  • Communicates all orders per DeBordieu procedure to ensure kitchen staff are aware of special accommodations (e.g., food allergy) when needed.
  • Answers questions about the menu and offers suggestions and/or substitutions.
  • Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offers suggestions on daily specials and wine selections.
  • Collaborates with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operation and timely service
  • Checks back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenishes water and butter as necessary.
  • Removes soiled dishes and clears tables after each course and resets them with appropriate silverware.
  • Consistently follows local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Presents the bill in a timely manner and verifies accuracy of prices, tips and other charges prior alongside member’s signature.
  • Completes opening and closing duties and side work.
  • Maintains safe work habits and work environment.
  • Attends pre-shift: and designated staff meetings as well as training sessions.
  • Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management.
  • Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform and name tag.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Bartender)

  • Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved standard recipes and guest preferences.
  • Requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology including food/wine pairings and wine presentation and service
  • Maintains a clean and organized bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glassware.
  • Collaborates with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth operation and timely service
  • Stays up to date with industry trends and new beverage offerings
  • Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
  • Prepares garnishes, fruits mixes and pre-mixed drinks prior to opening the bar.
  • Maintains records of liquors, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is sustained.
  • Cleans and locks the bar area according to prescribed closing procedures.
  • Ensures that all food items are correctly stored, labeled, dated and rotated to prevent any health or safety hazards from occurring, and takes precautions against possible spoilage.

Education, Experience, Licenses and Special Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum of two years of work experience serving/bartending in a restaurant or food establishment.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills.
  • Must be at least 18 to serve or 21 to tend the bar.
  • Alcoholic beverage certification is a plus.
  • Food safety certification is a plus.
  • Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches.
  • Carries and balances a tray to get food to the designated table.
  • Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuous repetitive motions.
  • Works in a fast-paced, high-traffic, and noisy environment.

PT/FT Hourly, nonexempt, permanent position

Starting at $18-$21/HR
