Position Summary

Process billing through Medicare/Medicaid and verify treatment coverage with client's insurance. Manage new client admissions, complete intake paperwork with client and enter in hospital database. Code client schedules for intensive ongoing therapy sessions and monthly doctor visits by working closely with drivers to coordinate treatment days and transportation according to treatment plan. Provide customer service by responding to information requests, answering client questions, resolving scheduling conflicts, connecting clients with community resources, etc. Transport handicapped and/or elderly clients to facility when necessary. Coordinate with hospital cafeteria staff to provide lunch to clients and provide assistance to those clients who cannot feed themselves independently.

POSITION SUMMARY EXPANDED:

Under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act,?(“The Unity Bill”) this position is considered a “Safety-sensitive position. “Safety-sensitive” is defined to include “any job that includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task or others.” Employees working in “safety-sensitive” roles are subject to this exception and subject to disciplinary action in the event of a positive test for marijuana or its metabolites.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Ability to project a professional Image.

· Ability to communicate well with others and ability to make independent judgment.

· Must comprehend, and comply with company rules and policies

· Previous experience working with elderly preferred.

· Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License

· Knowledge of various office equipment such as ten-key adding machine, computer, fax, and copier etc.

· Previous supervisory experience in Hospital preferred.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each key function satisfactorily based on five overall skills categories; assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation and teaching/coaching. 1) Transports clients

2) Schedules clients for group and individual therapy. Schedules telemetry visits.

3) Schedules vehicle maintenance.

4) Completes chart audits, gathers QAPI information and participates in QAPI.

5) Communicates with dietary the number of meals needed and any special diet specifications.

6) Communicates with client’s primary care physicians to receive medications list and H&P.

7) Communicates to client’s therapist, doctor or primary physician and problems the client may be having.

8) Keeps doctors on schedule for meetings with clients, tracks doctor’s paperwork when received and uploads into the EHR.

9) Communicates between therapist and doctor any changes in status, or concerns that the treatment team may see in a client that may reduce or intensify therapy days.

10) Connects clients with community resources such as Home Health, transportation, meals on wheels etc.

11) Verifies client’s insurance coverage, manages new client admissions and client billing.

12) Works closely with drivers to coordinate times and days for transportation for clients.


Education and/or Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

· Obtain and maintain BLS within 90 days of employment


LANGUAGE SKILLS

· English is the primary language of the facility.

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, customers, and the public.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form.
