Description:

The Inventory Control Specialist oversees all warehouse operations. This position is responsible for maintaining, recording, and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering materials to the appropriate location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains accurate inventory levels by leading regular physical counts and reconciling discrepancies with the warehouse inventory system.
  • Oversees/conducts daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts of materials and components to ensure materials needed for production are available.
  • Orders materials from vendors such as pallets, top frames, and slip sheets.
  • Travels to subcontractors to verify inventories of Envases materials offsite and updates internal records accordingly.
  • Conducts audits of receiving paperwork to confirm products checked into the facility are the correct products and that the correct quantities have been received.
  • Ensures a culture of safety by enforcing safety standards and adhering to standard operational procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Required – High school diploma or GED required.
  • Degree in business, management, logistics or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Inventory Control Specialist or a similar position.

GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Demonstrated experience measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Can accurately and in accordance with Company SOPs ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
  • Good level of assertiveness to challenge and support the team.
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to maintain accurate, detailed records that will be audited periodically; Ability to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to identify and execute improvement opportunities through both process improvements and system improvements.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the desire and ability to take ownership and responsibility with little direction.
  • Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity.
  • Ability to work with employees from many different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others, friendly and personable.

SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient level of knowledge in basic hardware and software using of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Visio, Google Workspace, Outlook/Gmail, and web-site software required.
  • Working knowledge of ERP & SAP systems (prior experience with SAP strongly preferred)
  • Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly.
  • Proficient keyboarding and typing skills.
