Our client, a biopharma company is seeking a Project Procurement Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in risk management as well as local regulation and legal requirements which will align successfully in the organization.

 

Job Title: Project Procurement Manager
Location: Marietta, PA (on site)
Pay Range: $125- $136/hr
Duration: 1 year

 

What’s the Job?

  • Be the local Project Procurement point of contact, a reference point between global procurement, suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead the procurement activity (precontract and post contract) on the EPCM and Qualification and Validation packages through GSK`s Ariba platform
  • Deliver robust strategic sourcing strategies, driving value through means of consolidation, rationalization and standardization and including tendering, analysis, supplier selection, while using negotiation to deliver further cost savings and efficiencies
  • Conduct regular meetings with PM, Schedule and Cost control lead, EPCM - provide information on current standing & bottlenecks
  • Contract management - keep contractual milestones aligned on schedule and take appropriate procurement measures such as penalties (link with scheduler and cost control)

What’s Needed?

 

  • 10 + years of procuring professional services (i.e., design, engineering, and project delivery consultants), construction, balance of plant and process equipment packages within a complex, multistage project execution model (FEL & “execution”) e.g., EPC or EPCM incorporating FEED
  • 10 + years’ experience of capital projects (£150m+), ideally within Pharma or Chemical Process industries
  • Understanding of AACE International Cost Estimate Classification System and underlying principles as well as Front-End Loading (FEL) and underlying principles
  • Experience of working with and drafting US construction and engineering standard forms e.g., AIA, EJCDC, FIDIC, ConsensusDOCS.
  • Experience working with and drafting bespoke contract agreements.
    Experience of working with lumpsum, guaranteed maximum, cost reimbursable/cost plus, re-measurable, target cost commercial models
