The Project Manager II will be responsible for the direction, coordination, execution, control, and completion of project management functions associated with off-net serviceability/pricing requests and projects in the access management organization. This includes scope of work review, risk assessment and management, project planning, estimating, tracking, reporting, management, internal customer and carrier communications, procurement, personnel management, quality control, compliance assurance and escalations. Facilitates communication across operational groups and other carriers to ensure compliance with the defined processes and implementation.

Work requires a great deal of planning and independent discretion to ensure the serviceability/pricing requests and projects are completed in a timely manner and in CCI's best financial interests. Responsible for key decisions such as vendor selection, guidance on selecting carriers to best meet customer needs, expediting the scheduling of high-profile projects and pricing requests to maximize immediate reoccurring revenue.

  • The CB Access Management Project Manager II will manage all off-net serviceability/pricing requests and projects and at times off-net simple projects in support of Cox Business customers and sales teams. Plans sequencing of projects and directs employees, vendors, and third parties to accomplish projects on agreed upon timeframes. Sets and manages internal customer expectations and proactively identifies and mitigates project risks.
  • Ensures 100% accuracy and integrity of customer and Cox data, reviews, and evaluates to establish implementation plan, reviews customer needs with boundary partner support enabling workflow to be moved to various Cox teams all within the negotiated and agreed timelines.
  • Manages serviceability/ pricing requests and projects to ensure profitability. Prepares cost analysis to maximize return on investment. Completes margin analysis on specific serviceability/pricing request and projects or unanticipated changes.
  • Coordinates the delivery of designated services or transport with carrier partners and relays this information back to local markets.
  • Coordinates with carrier partners and internal customers for items to include but not limited to: construction, building access, date changes, site walks and install dates.
  • Ensures consistency and adherence to company standards, processes and policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocations. Understands work and activity can be impacted by shifts in demands and priorities. Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work. Addresses potential conflicts that impact delivery commitments, working with team members, management, and other stakeholders to re-prioritize as necessary.
  • Engages in effective two-way communication with individuals and groups. Organizes thoughts and information, adjusting style according to the audience. Checks others understanding and listens to, accepts, and positively responds to feedback. Creates a positive impression that commands attention and respect.
  • Possesses the knowledge and ability to apply effective analytical techniques and tools. Approaches situations by defining the issue, determining its significance, and identifying the forces, events and people impacting and impacted by the situation at hand. Uses logic and intuition to make inferences about the meaning of data and arrive at conclusions and other tools as necessary. Able to systematically compare and assess varied alternative solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field

• Proficiency of Windows based applications (Word, Excel, Project) and knowledge of Order Management System.

Preferred

• Degree in related discipline strongly desired

• Experience in telecommunications industry desired

USD 64,200.00 - 96,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
