Elementary Special Education Teacher

Location:Ridgeland, South Carolina

Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ridgeland, South Carolina. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing tailored instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, fostering an inclusive and enriching educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, ensuring that their unique learning needs are met.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to design and implement effective interventions and accommodations.
  • Assess student progress regularly, maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or eligibility for certification.
  • Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
