Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Accountant to join their team and contribute to their important work in the community.


Position Overview:

As an Accountant with our Non-Profit client, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of their financial operations. You will be responsible for conducting Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Audits, Billing Reconciliation Audits, and auditing Cash Recons from clerical staff. Additionally, you will handle essential Journal Entries, including Payroll Entries, to maintain accurate financial records.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Audits to verify the completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Perform Billing Reconciliation Audits to ensure the correctness of invoices and resolve any discrepancies.

Audit Cash Recons from clerical staff to guarantee the accurate recording of cash transactions and bank reconciliations.

Prepare and process necessary Journal Entries, such as Payroll Entries, to accurately reflect financial transactions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements for management and external stakeholders.

Contribute to the annual budgeting process and provide support as required.

Play a role in enhancing accounting processes and internal controls to drive efficiency and accuracy.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA certification is advantageous.

years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the non-profit sector.

Proficiency in non-profit accounting software (e.g., BlackBaud, RaisersEdge, Jenzebar, Northstar) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical aptitude with keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
