Enterprise Installation Technician

San Antonio, TX

The Enterprise Installation Technician is responsible for the installation, test, and turn up of all central office, master control, remote network backbone equipment pertaining to Enterprise Data, Retail MDU, MTU, and SDU areas. Additionally responsible for customer premise enterprise equipment installation, testing, activation and trouble repair calls for ON or Off network Enterprise customers by monitoring and completing all new, change, and disconnect orders per the pertinent due dates in the workflow calendar.

  • This position will be based in Astounds San Antonio, TX office.

A Day in the Life of the Enterprise Installation Technician:

  • Ensures enterprise installation and activation dates are met to 100% and related orders are completed by their due date.
  • Coordinates with Broadband Engineering to assure all required network installation material is ordered/delivered to meet project due date.
  • Responsible for field trouble resolution on all devices within the network.
  • Manages integrity and inventory of all tools, equipment, and any other devices used in daily activities.
  • Performs walk-out requests and provides inventory of ISP and CPE material required to complete given project.
  • Available to work nights and weekends for emergency call out, or for on-call situations as needed.
  • Drives a company vehicle in the course and scope of performing duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • 3+ years experience in telecommunications technical role required. Experience includes working with telephony architecture, computer systems, inside cable plant, security systems.
  • Basic understanding of IP network protocols.

Education and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Drivers License required
