Summary of Job Content:

Knowledge of how to properly inspect all graphitized and/or machined products according to standard operating procedures. Ability to keep accurate records of inventory movements in and out of the department. Accurately verifies correct material is issued according to customer orders/work orders. Properly labels all processed material with required identification.

Perform any other duties, as required by the department supervisor or manager, to support department, plant and company objectives and/or goals.

1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Read, understand and follow work order instructions.
  • Complete knowledge in determining whether graphitized stock meets internal and customer specifications per standard operating procedures found in QUIS.
  • Ability to accurately determine whether graphitized or machined stock is ok, technical salvaged, salvaged, or scrap.
  • Ability to operate a computer using the Mikon system or any future data collection software/program.
  • Effectively utilize precision gages and measuring instruments to ensure machined product quality and customer requirements are met.
  • Knowledge of how to properly drive a fork truck.
  • Ability to keep accurate records of inventory movements in and out of the department using "Unloading and Inspection Report" and "Inventory Movements" form.
  • Accurately verifies correct material is issued according to customer orders/work orders.
  • Assist in the trimming of ends of porous carbon core samples, identify, and catalog for testing purposes.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Scribe and/or mark parts according to internal and customer requirements.
  • Perform all work assignments in a safe manner and obey/follow all departmental and general company safety rules, policies and procedures.
  • Consistently demonstrate high level of situational awareness, good housekeeping practices and commitment to quality.
  • Assist in conducting 5S projects or maintaining 5S areas.
