Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Specialist to play a key role in our Business Process System Integration (BPSI) Program Operational Reporting team. As a Data Warehouse Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Data Warehouse (DW) solution, which serves as a central repository for reporting data from Peoplesoft HRMS and Financial ERP systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing our operational and analytical reporting capabilities, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and sources.
- Design and implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various systems into the DW.
- Ensure seamless integration of data from Peoplesoft HRMS and Financial ERP systems into the DW.
- Data Modeling and Architecture:
- Design and optimize the structure of the DW to support efficient reporting and analysis.
- Implement dimensional modeling techniques to facilitate complex analytical queries.
- Continuously refine and enhance the DW architecture to accommodate evolving business needs.
ETL Development and Optimization:
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or similar.
- Optimize ETL processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Data Governance and Security:
- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures within the DW environment.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain reporting solutions on top of the DW using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Provide support and training to end-users to empower them to leverage reporting and analytics capabilities effectively.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience (8 years) working with Data Warehousing concepts, methodologies, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles, including dimensional modeling techniques.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, or similar.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in HRMS or Financial ERP systems integration is a plus.
