What You Will be Doing:

As the Prep Cook/Dishwasher, you are responsible for cleaning dishes to ensure that the restaurant has a steady supply of clean plates, bowls, silverware, pots, pans and glasses. You will be prioritizing loads and keeping the dish room and kitchen clean and free of waste. You will also be responsible for supporting the Line Cooks with food prep. Some typical tasks include:

  • Scraping, rinsing, and loading dishes in the commercial grade dishwasher
  • Manually washing large pots and pans, including scrubbing off stuck on debris
  • Unloading dishes and utensils from dish machine and organizing them properly
  • Sanitizing and wiping down dish room and kitchen food prep stations
  • Sweeping and mopping kitchen and dish room
  • Cleaning hood vents, speed racks, and dish machine
  • Collecting and removing waste from floor and work surfaces
  • Emptying trash bins and taking them to the dumpster
  • Working as an additional kitchen staff support doing food prep including cutting, chopping, mixing, and weighing food
  • Following all food safety procedures and safety guidelines

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work while standing for extended periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Commitment to food safety procedures and safety guidelines
  • Experience with food prep preferred
  • Experience using a commercial dishwasher a plus
