JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Door Shop Salesperson will be responsible for writing quotes, selling Door Shop products and services, processing transactions, and maintaining excellent customer and vendor relations. All employees are expected to be consistent in following company policies and procedures and safety guidelines; timeliness, quality, accuracy, and thoroughness of work performed; attendance, dress, leadership, teamwork, honesty, integrity and respect for others.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Ability to sell jobs and to follow through until completion.

2. Works in conjunction with Account Managers on the “hand-off” of door sales jobs from them.

3. Creates quotes on assemblies and products using TTL systems for: Special orders, Door Hardware, Single Doors, House packages and other related items to finish products

4. Produces preliminary quotes from plans, door walks or customer lists and bids jobs accurately.

5. Completes physical walk-throughs at job sites, identifying swings, shear walls and varying jamb sizes and doors that need modification.

6. Matches products with customer needs based on price, quality and timing requirements.

7. Processes special orders in a timely manner.

8. Accurately places orders and receives all products.

9. Establishes and maintains quality relations with new and existing customers.

10. Establishes quality relations with new and existing vendors.

11. Responsible for accurately processing sales transactions.

12. Answers phones and emails providing accurate door and hardware information to customers.

13. Fills out and uses production worksheets correctly.

14. Processes paperwork according to company internal systems and policies.

15. Attempts to up-sell doors to customers.

16. Cross-sells other products and services provided by TTL.

17. Independently contacts contractors at appropriate times, asking for opportunities to quote jobs (in conjunction with Account Managers).

18. Stays ahead of customer's and contractors’ needs.

19. Works within production shop capabilities for timing and custom production.

20. Identifies and communicates ways to improve GP%.

21. Finalize sales and get the contract, work orders, and estimates signed by the correct responsible party.

22. Has a team player attitude.

23. Understands and follows all company policies and procedures.

24. Maintains a quality safety and attendance record.

25. Takes responsibility for own mistakes and errors.

26. Completes all tasks willingly and without prompting.

27. Performs other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

Education A high school education or equivalent is required. Must be able to read, write and speak English and have the ability to work with and understand printed forms and documents.

Experience Preferred experience in door sales and customer service

Skills Strong interpersonal skills

Strong computer profile

Strong organizational and follow-through skills

Ability to solve issues with orders

Ability to multi-task

Physical Ability to meet the physical requirements as defined in the pre-placement physical

Other Must be able to pass pre-placement business math test

Must be able to maintain positive, professional relationships with customers and co-workers.

Must be able to understand and follow instructions, both verbal and written

Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision to complete assigned projects.
