Job Description
CDL licensed tanker truck driver needed for R & C Enterprises in Princess Anne, MD.
Driver will be responsible for timely & safely transporting liquids (vegetable oil).
Job Duties Include:
· Maneuver and deliver tank loads of product to customers and distributors as assigned
· Abide by all applicable traffic laws
· Short- and Long-distance driving, including occasional weekends
· Communicate/coordinate with dispatchers
· Maintain a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
· Ensure any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
· Observe and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements regarding hours of service, logs, vehicle inspections, etc.
· Complete and submit all Company paperwork to include but not limited to manifest, bill of lading, proof of delivery, trip reports, etc.
· Driver may be responsible to load and unload product when required. Otherwise, driver will experience down time while product is loaded/unloaded by alternate on-site personnel.
· Able to check gauges & other indicators to troubleshoot malfunctions
Requirements Include:
· Minimum 21 years of age required per FMCSA regulations
· Minimum of 2 years CDL driving experience required
· Must have valid CDL License and good driving record
· Tanker endorsement required (non-hazardous)
· High School Graduate or GED
· Strong communication skills a must
· Must be reliable, professional, flexible, and able to work independently
Physical Requirements & Environmental Factors:
· Able to drive a tractor trailer/tanker
· Able to remain seated for extended periods of time up to the limits established by DOT regulations
· Able to withstand bouncing and vibration from truck and road conditions
· Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
· Must be familiar with state motor vehicle laws and FMCSA rules and regulations
· May be exposed to fuel and oil spills
· Exposure to extreme temperatures and driving conditions
