Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Branch Manager in our Aledo, IL branch.

This position will provide overall management to all retail employees at a branch through coaching, development, training, and providing exceptional service to our customers.

The primary responsibility of the Branch Manager is to ensure smooth, sound, and safe operations and service for the branch, with an emphasis on: proper cash vault transactions, branch scheduling that meet customer needs, open/close tasks, and other duties as assigned.

The Branch Manager should lead by example through proactive customer engagement both inside and outside the branch. They exemplify being a Bright Partner by reinforcing our mission, vision, and values in all decisions and actions that enhance relationships with customers.

Branch Managers are, in part with other officers, the face of their local branch and respective communities. As such, community engagement and business development outside of the branch is an expectation of the role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead their branch through positive employee engagement, coaching, and development.

  • Discern urgent vs. non-urgent matters and escalate them to the next level manager as deemed necessary.

  • Participate in activities outside of the bank while giving back to the communities we serve through proactive business development activity. This will help cultivate new growth while maintaining current relationships.

  • In collaboration with Senior Management and Human Resources, the Branch Manager will assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new hires effectively by following all training plans.

  • Support action steps and S.T.A.R. values through personal behaviours and hold team accountable to individual performance.

  • Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Balance vault, CTR reports, Supervise/back-up teller line and customer service department, branch capture, open/ close schedule, review check orders.

  • Weekly responsibilities include but are not limited to: CTR Report, teller and vault audits, and order/sell money. Conduct weekly team huddles, documented weekly one on one touch bases with employees, and regular documented on the spot observation coaching feedback.

  • Monthly responsibilities include but are not limited to: Balance gift card account, schedule for branch, branch bills / service & maintenance calls, close overdraft accounts, and achieve target business development and branch goals.

  • As needed responsibilities include but are not limited to: Update security keypad, vault combinations, payroll and time approval and other duties as assigned by the position's supervisor.

  • May have consumer lending responsibilities with lending authorities established based on experience.

  • Assists in facilities-related issues by noting concerns and escalating them to the appropriate person as deemed necessary.

  • Will work occasional Saturdays and may at times exceed 40 hours per week based on needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Skilled with computers and data entry, email, and all Microsoft Office Suite products

  • Knowledge of PCS system

  • Knowledge of deposit products and services

  • Knowledge of lending products

  • General banking knowledge including up-to-date banking regulations

  • Problem-solving

  • Verbal and written communication

  • Supervisory skills

Background

Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent and two years in a customer service role, preferably a front facing customer environment. Leadership experience strongly desired.

Education and Experience Preferred: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or similar and Minimum of two to three years in a customer service role preferably front facing customer environment. Experience in leadership or management strongly desired.
