Summer Assistant Teacher

Little Legends Learning Center, Inc. in Champaign, IL is looking to hire a full-time Summer Assistant Teacher to help run our summer camp program and work with six- to twelve-year-old children. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SUMMER ASSISTANT TEACHER

As an entry-level Summer Assistant Teacher, you provide teaching support during our summer camp program. Whether you are in the classroom or on a field trip, you are eager to help our lead teachers and engage with our kids. You visit classes, assisting with activities such as passing out lunches and snacks. If the kids get too loud or go off-task, you help our teachers regain control of the class.

You chaperone the children during field trips, making sure everyone stays with the group and behaves properly. At the end of the day, you communicate with the parents about their child's day and behavior. You feel great about helping our kids have fun while helping our teachers run their classrooms!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SUMMER ASSISTANT TEACHER

• High school diploma
• Heart for working with children

Experience with teaching or working with school-age children would be preferred but is not required for this entry-level position. Are you energetic and excited to come to work? WORK SCHEDULE FOR A SUMMER ASSISTANT TEACHER

This seasonal position has a start date of May 25th. Our summer camp begins Tuesday, May 31st, and it runs for 11 weeks until August 12th.
