Utah Community Action is seeking to hire a full-time Office Assistant in Kearns, UT. We need a hard-working, organized, friendly, reliable person to assist in managing an office. Work hours approximately 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.
This Office Assistant position earns a competitive wage of $16.89/hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN OFFICE ASSISTANT
The Office Assistant is responsible for ensuring office operations and procedures are followed. This can include filing, office supply control, janitorial requisitions, and clerical functions. Also responsible for ensuring facility safety by maintaining a presence at the front desk and monitoring the safety and security of their site. The Office Assistant will also greet clients, visitors, children, parents, and guests, possibly in tandem with answering phone calls.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of related experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience in nonprofits is preferred
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to greet staff, clients, parents, children, and all visitors to ensure they feel welcome
- Must be computer proficient to track and input in-kind from classrooms in Child Plus
- Must ensure all necessary communication is sent to classrooms in a timely manner
- Must maintain a positive attitude with clients, and staff and provide general support to visitors
- Ability to ensure security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
- Ability to organize office operations and procedures
- Must be responsible for developing and implementing office policies by setting up procedures and standards to guide the operation of the office
- Ability to monitor and maintain office supplies inventory
- Must maintain a safe and secure working environment
