Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a contingent Resident Advisor to work in our Recovery House on Collingwood Blvd. In this role you will assist individuals, recovering from addiction, live in a safe and healthy environment while supplying them with resources and support to maintain their recovery. The person in this position works closely with the Recovery Housing Manage to monitor and support the independent living activities of the residents. Hours of work will vary depending on need and availability, as this is a 24-hour facility.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports residents in maintaining their living quarters at a reasonably safe and clean standard.
  • Monitors that residents are following Resident Handbook including curfew hours.
  • Welcomes and introduces new tenants to all existing residents.
  • Conducts New Resident Orientation within 24 hours of move-in to Recovery Housing.
  • Supports and motivates Residents to learn skills needed to facilitate recovery.
  • Helps Residents to find available services, community resources and service agencies.
  • Encourages Residents to complete assigned household chores and properly maintaining all common areas, such as kitchen and living room.
  • Observes and reports any unusual behaviors or potential areas of conflicts between resident and report this to the Recovery Coach and/or Recovery Housing Manager.
  • Provides feedback to Recovery Coach and/or Recovery Housing Manager regarding any unusual activities that may pose a safety or nuisance issue for other Residents.
  • Maintains inventory of all housing supplies (i.e. cleaning supplies, cooking utensils, furniture, household keys, etc.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
  • Facilitates weekly House Meeting with residents.
  • Communicates effectively in a diverse consumer population and promotes favorable interaction with co-workers, and Residents.
  • Carries out policy and procedures of the agency, may participate in community work, staff development, agency wide projects and serve on committees/teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and extended sobriety required.
  • Knowledge of Recovery Community resources and other resources available to the target population preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.

Those eligible to drive company vehicles must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage as defined by the agency commercial insurance carrier. Those who drive personal vehicles in the course of business must be able to provide proof of insurance.
