Commercial Project Manager

Job Description


Position Overview

The Project Manager position is primarily responsible for coordinating the order entry, purchasing, scheduling, releasing, and delivery of customer orders in a timely manner. The position is responsible for ensuring that each detail in the customer's order is addressed by managing orders from the point of contract through final resolution, which may include post installation and/or service issues. Works closely with the Sales Teams to achieve and provide excellent customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Initiative & receive external and internal customer contact
  • Review and book orders from the sales team
  • Plan and implement projects
  • Use Sale Force software to set up project
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, required resources, key dates and activities related to orders
  • Schedule and project timeline, communicate estimated ship date
  • Seek out internal experts and utilize their knowledge
  • Manage project budget
  • Hold and manage internal & external project meetings
  • Track deliverables - coordinate delivery of customer orders
  • Coordinate recovery for shortages and damaged product
  • Be available as the main contact for the customer
  • Work with manufacturing team, to make sure project dates are met
  • Regularly communicate with Sales Representatives, internal and external customers in order to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders and for product delivery details including verification of addresses, phone numbers and directions
  • Update customer/stakeholders on progress as well as problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project demands
  • Order parts and/or scheduling service appointments as needed
  • Prompt and regular attendance at an assigned work location
  • Interact and communicate with employees and customers in an appropriate manner
  • Availability on site to confer with staff members with whom the employee must interact on a regular basis
  • Communicate via email
  • Review and analyze data and information concerning orders
  • Plan, prioritize and monitor project activities
  • Oversee the completion of assigned projects in a timely manner

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct management or supervisory responsibilities.


Safety

Observe safety and security policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment); report potentially unsafe conditions; and use equipment and materials properly. The individual must follow any on-site safety requirements during job site visits.


Travel

Approximately <5% travel is required for commuting between Quaker campuses or visits to job sites.


Qualifications

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Software: Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with DWG Viewer Software Tool for 2D Drawing Visualization
  • Apply basic concepts of algebra, geometry and general business math
  • Develop proficiency in Quaker's proprietary software

Preferred Education and Experience

The expectation is that the individual has achieved a minimum level of education and/or related expertise to qualify for this position.

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Project Management or Construction Management or
  • 4 Years prior experience in a Project Management role

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Although the employee will primarily be in an office setting, while performing the duties of this job, the employee may need to visit the factory and be exposed to climactic variations, fumes or airborne particles, various levels of vibration, and moving mechanical parts. Various types of Personal Protective Equipment might be required based on the employee's work location. The noise level in the office is usually low, but hearing protection may be advisable or required for prolonged visits to certain parts of the factory.
