Sedona Staffing Services is immediately hiring for a CLASS A CDL Driver
Please read the following information before applying:
REQUIRED - CLASS A CDL (must have obtained the CDL prior to April 2021)
Location: Robinson, TX
Work Hours: Mist be able to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 7 AM to7 PM
Travel: Drivers can expect to be away from home 1-2 nights a week
Preferred Experience: Flatbed Experience is highly preferred
Pay:
Training Pay is guaranteed at least $800/week (20/hr) and after training drivers can expect their pay to average $1,000-$1200/week ($25-$30/hr)
Job Overview: Transport a variety of vehicles and equipment, primarily from car dealerships and auctions to other similar locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transport vehicles and light equipment to designated locations and auctions.
- Safely load and unload vehicles, equipment, and cargo and ensure they are securely fastened.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment for any issues that might affect safe towing or hauling.
- Plan and execute efficient routes to meet delivery schedules safely.
- Complete all necessary company and customer paperwork, both paper and digital, such as Bill of Lading and Vehicle Authorization Release.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment, maintain trip sheets, and log work/rest hours.
- Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks when required.
- Keep assigned vehicle clean inside and out.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL (Obtained prior to April 2021)
- Have a verifiable work history.
- Pass a clean drug and alcohol background check.
- Be available to work occasional nights and weekends.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Familiarity with the rules and regulations set by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and the Department of Transportation.
- In-depth knowledge of the safe operation and features of the assigned vehicle.
- Ability to use technology such as GPS, smartphones, tablets, and digital applications.
- Basic understanding of truck maintenance and capability to perform minor repairs.
- Strong reasoning skills with the ability to interpret policies, procedures, maps, and directions.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations, such as traffic and weather conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving, with occasional rest breaks.
- Reach overhead and frequently lift 50-75 pounds daily.
- Perform daily tasks involving squatting, bending, climbing, pulling, and twisting.
- Utilize hands for fine manipulation and push/pull as necessary.
- Withstand prolonged walking and standing.
- Endure prolonged exposure to extreme outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
