Job Summary

The Tuxedo Club seeks an experienced, enthusiastic and customer service-driven Lifeguard to join our team for the season!

Duties & Responsibilities

  • The primary responsibility of the Lifeguard is to ensure the safety of all members and guests in the pool area
  • Ensure all NYS Health & Safety Standards and Codes are followed by maintaining proper balances of pool chemicals and cleanliness of all aquatic operations
  • Complete daily operations forms for opening/closing of each shift
  • Assist Pool Director with all documentation for NYS and The Tuxedo Club and all ad-hoc projects

Qualifications

  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
  • Current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED
  • Must be able to enforce rules and regulations in a professional manner
  • Current WSY certification preferred
  • 1 year Lifeguard experience preferred
  • Team player that is energetic, professional, and has a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work varied shifts which include weekdays, weekends & holidays

Working Conditions

It is expected that, at times, you may have to work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.   • May need to work in wet or humid conditions, near moving parts, near fumes or airborne particles, in extreme non-weather heat, & in extreme non-weather cold
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, use hands & fingers, reach with hands & arms, talk &/or hear
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, & depth perception
  • Employees must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs multiple times per day, & push a cart weighing up to 100lbs
  • Expect to be on their feet for up to 6 hours at at time
  • Must practice proper body mechanics & use appropriate personal protective equipment to avoid injury
