Building Envelope SME

Thompson Engineering is looking for a Building Envelope SME with experience in acoustic/sound enclosures, life safety/emergency egress, building envelope, and all other related construction activities to work on a large construction program at Patrick AFB, FL. Assignment will be for 1 year (base) and 2 optional years.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in multimillion-dollar DOD projects.

Minimum Requirements:

1. BS in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent experience
2. Minimum of 10 years of experience with building envelope and air barrier construction and testing
3. Must demonstrate experience with reviewing testing procedures and testing reports as well as experience with witnessing and evaluating air barrier efficacy
4. Experience with military construction and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) is preferred
5. Excellent math skills
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office
7. These characteristics are a plus:

• Military Construction experience
• Air Force Installation Experience
• State of Florida experience
• Corps of Engineers experience with Resident Management System (RMS)
