Cardinal Staffing Services, is immediately hiring for Quality Technician in Bellevue, OH.
Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will assess and test samples of raw materials, products in process, and final products using a variety of laboratory equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Gathers samples of raw materials and evaluates them using lab equipment to ensure they meet company standards regarding quality and color.
- Gathers random samples of outgoing finished products and evaluates them using lab equipment to ensure they meet company and customer standards.
- Reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate next steps for acceptable and/or unacceptable samples.
- When quality problems occur, assists supervisors and other inspectors with follow-up checks.
- Assists line inspectors in isolating the cause of quality problems; offers assistance and provides recommendations for resolving and preventing further problems.
- Evaluates samples from new line runs, reports compliance with company product specifications to line mechanic or other appropriate staff.
- Evaluates packaging to minimize defects from inadequate protection during shipping.
- Adheres to all company, local, and federal procedures, guidelines, and rules regarding the protection of self and plant staff.
- Maintains a work area that is neat and orderly.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by production supervisor(s).
3rd shift 5p-5a rotating schedule, every other weekend. 3 on 2 off / 2 on 3 off
