Job Description
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
· Safety Program Development: Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
· Compliance: Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations, including OSHA, WISHA and L&I standards.
· Safety Training: Plan, coordinate, and conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing safety education.
· Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents and incidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
· Safety Inspections: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of jobsites, facilities, equipment, and processes to identify and address potential hazards. The minimum is two (2) inspections per day. All Inspections to be logged in ProCore with photos of jobsite included.
· Safety Culture: Promote and maintain a culture of safety within the organization by fostering awareness and accountability among employees at all levels.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, incidents, training, and compliance documentation. Producing Site Specific Safety Plans for new projects.
· Safety Committees: Collaborate with safety committees and representatives to drive safety initiatives and gather input from employees.
· Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures to address potential crises, such as fires, chemical spills, and natural disasters.
· Safety Reporting: Prepare and present safety reports to management and regulatory agencies as required.
Qualifications and Skills
· Certification as a Safety Professional (e.g., CSP, CIH, or equivalent) is a plus.
· Previous experience in safety management within the construction industry, especially wood framing, is highly desirable.
· Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lead, motivate, and influence others to prioritize safety.
· Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software.
